Sistem iQuest http://iquest.net.my/iquest dibangunkan untuk membantu penyelidik, ahli akademik dan pelajar mendapatkan sumber maklumat penyelidikan. I-Quest dihasilkan oleh pasukan penyelidik daripada Perpustakaan UKM yang mendapat bidaan Dana Inovasi UKM dan dibangunkan pada 01.01.2013 hingga 01.08.2013. Sistem ini telah mula digunakan di UKM pada September 2013 hingga kini. Dalam membangunkan system ini, pasukan penyelidik Perpustakaan UKM telah berkerjasama dengan Pusat Teknologi Maklumat UKM dan rakan industri milik UKM iaitu Syarikat Refrex Sdn Bhd. Continue reading

JETP ialah sebuah enjin carian yang dibangunkan untuk membantu pelanggan dan Perpustakaan mengenal pasti jurnal-jurnal elektronik teks penuh langganan institusi. JETP menghimpunkan semua langganan jurnal elektronik beserta maklumat jurnal terindeks ISI Web of Science, Scopus dan Journal Impact Factor sesebuah institusi daripada pelbagai pangkalan data dan memudahkan akses kepada jurnal tersebut daripada dalam dan luar kampus UKM. SiberPROP – Online Course Application and Analysis System

SiberPROP is developed by Perpustakaan Tuanku Bainun to ease the process of course registration. The system is programmed using PHP web programming language, third-party PHP plug-in and JavaScript libraries. SiberPROP is used for registration and evaluation of information literacy classes in academic libraries. It includes several additional modules that will assist users, facil itators and system administrators in managing course registration.

iPUSTAKA is an application that contains several unique functions for you to deal with and at the Tuanku Bainun Library, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris.

It consists of 4 specific tabs are:
1. About: Displays the telephone directory, user navigation is integrated with Google Maps.
2. Announcement: Latest news and announcements directly to library users.
3. Trail Collection: navigation guide to the collection of your choice is now easier.
4. Scan Info: QR code scanner integrated into iPUSTAKA.

Adapt to Flourish: Librarians need to keep libraries relevant in digital era

KUCHING: Librarians and libraries still have a role to play despite the digital revolution.

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) held its annual librarianship seminar themed “The Transformation of Libraries towards the Culturisation of Knowledge” yesterday, with hundreds of librarians, academics, information experts and students attending the two-day talk.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Unimas head librarian Margaret Simeng said that libraries throughout the country had to keep up with the large influx of digital information and changes affecting the industry in order to flourish.
